From Florence: Venice by Train, Experience the Flavour of History and Romance

Leave Florence in the morning and travel comfortably by high-speed train to Venice, a city shaped by water, architecture and a history unlike that of any other Italian destination. On arrival, the change of pace is immediate: there are no cars in the historic center, and movement takes place on foot or by boat through a network of canals and bridges.

Venice’s craftsmanship is part of its identity, from traditional masks and Carnival culture to glass, textiles and other locally inspired products.

Those who wish can add an optional gondola ride, arranged separately, for a slower perspective of the smaller canals and historic buildings. Gliding beneath bridges and past water-level entrances offers an experience very different from walking through the city. At the end of the day, return to the railway station and board the high-speed train back to Florence. The journey leaves you with both sides of Venice: the grandeur of its famous landmarks and the quieter charm found in the spaces between them.
