From Rome: Venice and Florence 2-Day Tour of Art and Romance by Train

Leave Rome early in the morning for a two-day journey that brings together two very different expressions of Italian beauty: the canals and romance of Venice and the Renaissance art and elegance of Florence. Day 1 begins with pickup from your centrally located hotel in Rome and transfer to the railway station, where you meet your tour assistant before boarding the train to Venice. On arrival, walk into a city shaped by water, bridges and centuries-old palaces. Reach Saint Mark’s Square and admire Saint Mark’s Basilica from the outside, together with the Bell Tower and the Doge’s Palace. Continue through the historic center toward the Bridge of Sighs and the Rialto Bridge, taking in the atmosphere of the canals and small squares along the way.

There is time for lunch at your leisure, shopping and independent exploration. If you wish, add an optional gondola ride for a quieter view of Venice from its smaller canals. Later in the afternoon, return to the station and continue by high-speed train to Florence. On arrival, transfer to your 4-star hotel. The evening is free, giving you the opportunity to dine independently, take an evening walk or simply relax after a full day. Breakfast is included the following morning.

Day 2 is dedicated to Florence. Meet a professional guide and discover the historic center, beginning with the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and Brunelleschi’s famous dome. See Giotto’s Bell Tower and continue through elegant streets and squares toward Piazza della Signoria, long associated with the civic and political history of the city.

The artistic highlight is the Accademia Gallery, where you will see Michelangelo’s David at close range. After the guided experience, enjoy free time for lunch, shopping or further exploration before boarding the high-speed train back to Rome. On arrival, transfer to your hotel. In two days, the journey moves from Venetian waterways to Florentine masterpieces, balancing guided visits with enough free time to create your own memories in each city.
